this place was very intense, much more than I had expected. the contrast between the horrible history of the motel and the hundreds of children running around the grounds was startling and almost overwhelming, but given that the children, and their parents, were all of several races and ethnicities, perhaps the aftermath of that terrible day is positive. but it remains to be seen.
